The qualification covers the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls, enabling the holder of this knowledge and understanding to follow procedures, and take appropriate action in case any Food Safety hazard is identified as well as to contribute in cntinuous improvement of food safe practice in a work environment.
The qualification may also be suitable for contractors and visitors to the food retail or catering environment e.g. equipment maintenance engineers and delivery personnel.
